ReV Up 2024

The goal of the "Inclusion Revolution" workshop is to empower participants with the knowledge, tools, and strategies to foster inclusive environments in their organizations, communities, and personal lives. Participants will learn how to recognize and address barriers to inclusion and develop actionable plans to create more equitable and welcoming spaces.

A student with a disability should have access to the same opportunities as our general student population. Come learn about different disabilities and ways to accommodate individual student needs in the expanded learning environment. Workshop offered during Session 1, Session 3, and Session 4

How do we assess what a child’s behavior is trying to communicate to us? Behavior is a form of communication! Learn 5 new ways to understand the relevance of behavior, especially in students who may have limited means of expressing themselves. You'll leave this workshop with a greater ability to appreciate and understand the relevance of behaviors and how to navigate them for greater program and student success.

The We’ve Got Your Back™ (WGYB) program is a mindfulness-based alternative to active shooter drills for schools and students TK-12th grade. The goal of the series is to increase school safety through "situational awareness" (our ability to identify when something is amiss in our environment). Join experienced police officers as they walk you through WGYB and Heart Centered Learning®, which focuses on student and staff well-being through 5 Cs: Consciousness, Compassion, Confidence, Courage and Community.

Leave this session feeling empowered to make a difference for students with special needs! In this interactive workshop, we'll engage in scenarios, proactive planning, and group discussion to identify common barriers and strategize solutions to create expanded learning programs that are welcoming and effective for all students. As fearless allies of students with disabilities, you will be able to answer these questions: What's the right language to use when I'm talking about students with disabilities? What are some high-impact skills I can develop to support all students? How can I plan ahead and build activities with all students in mind?
